Key factors to consider while shortlisting event destinations for associations

We recently hosted an online event ‘Associations and the new world: Reinvention and the role of destinations’ where an expert panel discussed and shed light on how associations were working with destinations to complement their operations and focus on the purpose of their meetings. Prior to the event, Genevieve Leclerc, Co-Founder and CEO #MEET4IMPACT, spoke exclusively to a few panelists who provided some valuable input into key factors associations need to consider while considering destinations for their events.

Kai Hattendorf, Managing Director / CEO of UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry spoke on how a keen focus on health and safety and sustainability were key factors that associations need to be looking at while shortlisting destinations for their event. We also had Elizabeth (Eli) Pollard, Executive Director, World Parkinson Coalition explain how a destination’s willingness to participate in city-wide training and educational initiatives were key factors when it came to shortlisting cities to host their events in.
